Hawaii-Sept. 2008
Our trip to Hawaii was so much fun...even being 7 months pregnant. Jack did great on the airplane and did not complain once about the super long trip.
Bapa (Grandpa) found a boogie board washed up on shore when he was doing a little exploring, Russ had a great time on it. Jack was a little fish. We all agreed that if we had been there one more week he would have learned how to swim.
Jack was very disappointed that we did not bring any swords to Hawaii with us,so we made a stop at the local Wal-Mart and bought him one. This was by far the best and most used purchase of the trip. He would attack each wave with the sword. We never left the hotel without it; it even made the trip back home to Utah.
We had a lot of picnics depending on where we spent the day. This is our lunch on at the black sand beach. There were tons of turtles in the water and even one on the beach.

The 4th of July parade
Wake up early so we can get to thew parade in time.Off go Jack, Bapa and Cassandra
Ali and Memaw riding their bikes in the parade.
The parade ends and everyone meets at the park for breakfast. Jack shows off his "No guts, no glory" to all the kids at the park. Bill calls it Jacks own Jack-Ass episode.
You start by sitting in a Tonka truck at the top of the steepest hill you can find...then...
race down the hill as fast as you can. You get extra points if you do this one-handed

The 4th of July
Pre 4th of July Fireworks. Jack is super nervous about the loud fireworks so we get him ready with some quieter types. First the smoke bombs...or smoke balls as he calls them.
The Smoke balls are a success, no noise!
Now the neighbors come out with a little larger ammunition...
We are still liking the fireworks, nothing too loud.
And that does it, a few of the whistling types and Jack is through. We go in the house while the rest of the fireworks are lit.

The decorating of the floats. A long held tradition that includes pizza, crape paper and lots and lots of tape

It's a boy
We went to the Dr. last week and took a little peek to see if we could tell if the baby is a boy of a girl. It took him a split second to look and say "I know what it is". It took us quite a bit longer to figure it out. This picture doesn't give it away easily, but we should get a better look at our next week 20 week ultrasound. p.s Its a boy
