The 4th of July

Pre 4th of July Fireworks. Jack is super nervous about the loud fireworks so we get him ready with some quieter types. First the smoke bombs...or smoke balls as he calls them.
The Smoke balls are a success, no noise!
Now the neighbors come out with a little larger ammunition...

We are still liking the fireworks, nothing too loud.
And that does it, a few of the whistling types and Jack is through. We go in the house while the rest of the fireworks are lit.

The 3rd of July

The decorating of the floats. A long held tradition that includes pizza, crape paper and lots and lots of tape

Jack entertains the workers with his rendition of "Oh My Darlin' "
