Today was the first day I felt like being outside without having to hassle with the coats and hats and boots and zippers and right fingers in the right holes of the gloves. To celebrate, we took Jacks Christmas gift, a big boy bike outside for a spin. Until now it's wheels have only had to maneuver around our walls, kitchen chairs, and our coffee table. We decided it was time to try it out on the cement. It is a tricky thing to help pedal his little feet all the while steering the handle bars. But, after a few attempts, I think we may have gotten the hang of it.

Didn't today feel great outside? I know very well how awkward and frustrating it is to lean so far over and move the childs feet up and down all while keeping their feet on the pedals. Oh ya, and steering too. Do all parents do this to help their kid learn to ride a bike? Cute pictures and music!!
What a wonderful page, Sara!!! And a sweet ride for your boy. We sure do treasure the days of scooters around the neighborhood with you. Here's an Aidanism regarding Valentine's: Some of the girls in his kindergarten were blowing kisses at him. I asked him how that made him feel. He said, "Well, Mom...love is in da air."
